I've adapted three templates which the Strangebanana random generator kindly made for me (great invention, can be addictive, I could spend hours on end clicking on the refresh button to get a completely new, never-before-seen design). Well, the designs it generates are not exactly awe-inspiring, but what can you expect for so little effort!)
You can see these three templates on my website , within a folder which I have, very originally, entitled "Strangebanana" (where have I read this before?) I have also left a link to a a zip file containing the three templates (all the css comes within each template, in the head of the document. I recommend using an external css file, of course).

Just to let you know that the text boxes you have are expanding too much in Firefox. You'll either have to set the width in the class or apply as style="width: xxxpx;" solution.

Firefox 1.0 for Windows is my default browser and I see everything alright. I've also tried Opera 7.54 and Explorer 6.0 and ony with Explorer the search box doesn't render as it should in both the Strangebanana2 and the Aura template.

That being what I was pointing out.

Sorry to doublepost. I've just realised that I had included the general site stylesheets in the Strangebanana templates. I removed that from the zip file already yesterday, but I had forgotten to do that for the templates on my site. Check if now they look better. Anyway, some of the menu boxes are too narrow to hold the search box, so that will need fixing, including the Aura template (Explorer for Windows, at least). Thanks for feedback, by the way.

Doubleposting again, but I fixed the search form layout problem applying a specific width (.FSF_input {
width:120px;}) which seems to be enough to satisfy every browser. I've applied that style to the Strangebananas and the Aura, also in the zip file. Thanks SniperX for your feedback :betterwink:

<Scratches head> I didn't even see the first double-post. All I saw was a continuation of a topic. Am I missing something?

//Edit: Ah I see it now. (Not what I've always known a double-post to be but....) Let's hope the world doesn't come crashing down tomorrow.

:lol: yeah that's not likely. Like I said, I know yomemiconmigo wasn't deliberately trying to bump the topic, but sometimes a reminder on such things, especially to those new to the forums, is handy and makes for better reading for the community. I'm not the "new sherriff in town" don't worry :betterwink:

I'm shutting up now.

Unless you start quoting the rule book at me, I'll not worry. :) I just get a little defensive of those who inadvertantly do something 'wrong' and end up getting the rule-police on their back. Life's too short and it's just a forum.

I remember extremely well that before I arrived here I had never ever in my life received a warning from a forum moderator in my life. I was here five minutes and got one for something that even in my widest dreams I couldn't see the justification for. I was all ready to pack-up and not return when I read it.

Perhaps I'm just an ageing hippy at heart...

Note to Self: Rename forum 'rules' to 'guidelines'.
