Nice and clean template.

Compliments. Posted Image

If i'm allowed to make one minor suggestion : keep the pathnames in lower case (\Horizontal vs. \horizontal).
Linux is quite strict with that. ;)

I know that Linux is strict with that (using only Linux here). But have I done it inconsistent anywhere?

You have not done it inconsistent.
I did have the courage to put it in a /horizontal dir (linux ;) ) and bumped into a none working template, which was easily fixed ;)

Is there any way to make this google searchable? I've noticed that google gets hung up and issues an error saying that the browser does not support frames?

I don't exactly get what you mean. The source code generated by this template should be very well searchable, because it even uses an HTML-list for the menu.
In case you are referring to the advertisment <div> that is inserted at my demosite, that comes from the webhost automatically and of course does not belong to the template.

If I perform a search on google for something on a website using this template all it shows is "Sorry! Your browser must support frames!" in the search result...

I cannot confirm this. Please enter the following into the Google search form:
site:hugelmopf.hu.ohost.de
and you will see, that Google does not display your message for my demosite. Maybe you have a provider that is adding an advertisement frame to your site?

Excellent and just what I was looking for. I've implemented it at www.cwanetwork.org.uk but I'm very hit and miss (mostly miss) with altering code. I'd like the content to start higher on the page (ie lose a bit of the white soace at the top of the box which defines the content area.) Any help in knowing where (and how) to adjust this, please?

Thanks

Paul

I am not 100% sure, but I don't have time to dig deeper right now:
positioning.css -> div#content -> set the first padding value (that should be top padding) lower. But be careful, if you have a third menu level, as it will cover text then.
