When browsing Andreas's blog I came accross the Pretty as a Picture web site where all of Andreaa's template are available for download plus several others.s
This one in particular caught my attention, and I have Etomised it.

Driven entirely by css (and with a special css to deal with printing) it uses very few graphics.

My Etomised demo site is situated HERE (NOTE. All of the menu links lead back to my main site) and the complete set of files is available in the attached zip file - including the template in file template.txt, and all of the snippets used just in case you haven't downloaded them yet.

INSTRUCTIONS.

Unzip the files (retaining the complete paths) and upload the resulting folder (drifting) to your Etomite site main folder.

Open the template.txt file then copy the coding and save it as a new template.

Hope you like it. Do let me have your comments.

The original version (including some help information is situated HERE.

Have you checked it out in FF?? I'm not sure it's meant to look like that :lol:

Hm. No I didn't check it in Firefox as I have just rebuilt my PC and hadn't got round to installing it. Just done so and I see what you mean.

Strange. The original template HERE states that it should be OK, but you are correct. Something is certainly not right in Firefox. Don't know whether it may be in the header which has a line
<div id="headerLeftBox" style="width: 322px; height: 76px">
Does Firefox not like widths and heights ? Certainly in IE and its derivatives all is OK.

Anyone any ideas ?

Didn't look right to me either when I checked it earlier, but I didn't want to be the first person to speak up as I wasn't sure whether or not it was just me... :blink: Although some people might not like my opinion on the subject - forget about designing for IE... Sooner or later either Bill Gates will have to get with the program and realize that he doesn't invent standards or end users will switch to using real browsers and leave IE in the dust, where it belongs... A pencil-necked geek who also happens to be the richest man in the world is still a pencil-necked geek any way you slice it... B)

Only Jokin.... back on topic lol.

Anyway, it is almost impossible to get things looking exactly the same in every browser out of the box - the only way to get it the same in every browser is to apply tweaks, which most developers shouldnt actually have to do if the browsers were written right to start with!
