This is the new home for the etoGal addon for etomite and its support snippets.
We'll be transferring the etoGal, etoGalThumb, etoGalList, etoGalSearch, and, if anyone is actually using it, the etoGalVwrM snippets to the download area here in the next week or so, and starting to populate the bugtracker (once I've worked out how to use it!)

Please raise any issues for any of these snippets in this section, starting a new topic if there isn't already a suitable one. This should make it easier for you to find answers, or to offer solutions than the current single snippet topic. (The EtoGal snippet topic has the second largest number of posts in the snippet support section, making it difficult to find the section you want, even if you already know its there!) This change should benefit both you and us.

we hope you'll find this change helpful

good idea,
what about this:
Topic titles:
[PROB] EtoGal is not showing / [SOLVED] EtoGal is not showing
[TUTO] What to do, if your EtoGal is not showing?
[ADD-ONE] LightBox
And 2 sticky topics FAQ and Translations (this one can be subForum)

Thanks churchyard - a good idea ...

So here are the "official" guidelines (slightly changed)

If reporting a problem (and you've checked that it hasn't already been reported) please title your post:

Quote

[PROBLEM]description of propblem
and 'it doesn't work' is not a description!
the problem will then be discussed in that thread until the problem is solved when the thread title will be changed to

Quote

[SOLVED]description of propblem
the thread is likely to contain sufficient detail to remove the need for a [TUTORIAL] post, unless someone feels like writing a summary!

BUGs should be reported in bug-tracking section (you can register, and it would help me if you did, otherwise authorship will be anonymous). Once investigated they'll be assigned a version in which a fix is planned (1.2 next version, easy bug fixes and anything needed for 0.6.1 Final, 1.5 larger enhancements (none yet) and new support snippets (none yet), 2.0 hypothetical future componentised version). Or they might get rejected.

Once I have time I'll create a topic with descriptions of each of the current EtoGal snippets. This will be closed, but kept to date by me or Hugelmopf as versions are updated.

I will start a demos topic once I have time to gather together a list of the demos hugelmopf and I have created. I'm not sure whether to open this as a showcase for anyone using EtoGal.

Internationalisation files should go in the download area, but I'll create a topic to announce new downloads (similarly for etoGalThumb 'styles', as revised styles is the way to produce new language variants there).

I'm not sure what you meant by 'lightbox'?

Anything else that's needed?

that was an example, i meant this: http://www.etomite.com/index.php?sh...=168#entry29505

also make a list of [XXX]s and make it sticky with name: "Read me before posting anything!" whould be great

A suggestion... It would be great to see a thread of EtoGal showcase sites- so that it would be easy to see examples of this script in action. Sort of like the "Etomized sites" forum.

Can you please wave your magic wand again and make etoGalTranslation subForum? Thanks.

The boss is supposed to be on holiday, so up he pops, and modifies my forum underneath me! Nice to see I can move my post to the new subforum though, rather than have to type it all in again.

MikeF needs to authorise member requests ;)

The only reason I did the last one was because I was meaning to do it yesterday ;)

I'm off now - MikeF, if you need any changes making in the admin side (like Subforums etc), then PM me, and when I am around over the next two weeks I'll make the changes - my internet time is very random, so I dont know when I'll be here or not... if I'm on anyone's MSN list (why?), and you see me online, it doesnt mean I am at my PC's - I leave them on all the time ;)

If anyone else has any suggestions for new sections, let me know (here or PM) and then I'll gather them all together, decide which I want and pass on to Dean, rather than keep asking for one at a time)
