I guess, there also may, and should, be set "charset=<charset_name>" in EtoGal call, if you use non-English ?

yes, you can set charset as a parameter in the snippet call, but its essentially untested, as I don't use a non-english character set! If you do try it, can you please confirm whether or not it works?
(I can't remember whether it made it into the other snippets, or if I was still waiting on a response as to whether it worked or not!)
