G'day,

Some time ago my good friend Andre pointed me in the direction of the Mollio templates at www.mollio.org. They looked very impressive and I made a mental note to consider using one of the layouts as the base template for an Etomite based web site.

The other week I made the offer to Ralph and Dean that I would do a "clean up" of the snippets and templates to ship with Etomite 0.6.1 Final. So I setup a new web space as a playground to get the Etomite 0.6.1 Final templates, snippets and documents up-to-date.

While doing this, I decided to add in the impression set of six Mollio template layouts I'd been looking at for that next web site I was about to build. I even took it a bit further and built templates to implement the menu, navigation and some other features supported by the Mollio templates. Dean added most of the other templates he had converted, including the popular Andreas Viklund ones. Hence those of you installing Etomite 0.6.1 Final, now get a much expanded set of "out of the box" templates to work with.

You can see what the Mollio templates look like within Etomite 0.6.1 Final on the demo site I created earlier today at http://www.borrett.id.au/etomite/mollio-templates.htm.

But how could everyone else get a hold of the "Mollio for Etomite CMS" templates?

Obviously it was time to document what I'd done, plus create a "Mollio for Etomite CMS" templates package that others could download and install. So that became my job for today.

As a bonus, I've also created a seventh Mollio layout, type G, which has three columns, being the Main, middle Sidebar and Right hand navigation.

Those of you who have installed Etomite 0.6.1 Final, may wish to download this "Mollio for Etomite CMS" version 1.1 template package just for that extra Mollio layout. But more than likely, you will benefit by reading the readme.txt I've prepared for this template package. It may help you to better understand what these templates are about and how to use them well.

Best Regards, Lloyd Borrett.

As said before in another topic: I really love this one.
I was already busy transforming it, but I'll first check out the changes in version 1.1 and how it's been implemented by Lloyd.

G'day,

Is there anyone out there prepared to have a go at adapting the FlexSearchForm snippet to work with the Mollio templates?

I've had a look at it.

Seems pretty easy to modify FlexSearchForm get the Search form part to work.

But getting the Search Results and Pagination to output the XHTML in the form Mollio expect seems a bit more problematic.

You can get an idea as to how the XHTML code should look and how it should be displayed using the mollio template, by looking at the bottom of http://www.borrett.id.au/etomite/mollio-type-c.htm

Best Regards, Lloyd.

Hi Lloyd - take a look at temporary faq, as I have just integrated the standard search facility in to it... is it similar?

G'day Dean,

It's pretty easy to get FlexSearchForm to work as the form in the Mollio template. See http://www.secure77.nocdirect.com/~jscubado/home.htm.

But the results page generated from a search then needs to be styled properly.

If you look at the bottom of the example page http://www.borrett.id.au/etomite/mollio-type-c.htm, you'll see how the CSS built into the Mollio template can be used to do pagination and display search results.

I'd like a version of FlexSearchForm that outputs the XHTML as the Mollio template already expects it.

That is, use the CSS styles already in the template, rather than adapt the template to use the CSS being generated by the current version of the FlexSearchForm snippet.

But I was having trouble getting my head around what was going on inside the snippet, in order for me to adapt it to generate what I need.

By the way, what snippets are you using to do that Etomite FAQ? I was about to look at adding a FAQ to a web site I'm working on, so I'd appreciate your ideas as to what snippets or whatever you think is best to use.

Best Regards, Lloyd.

G'day,

We now have a version of the WebLinkLister03 snippet that works with the Mollio template.

PLEASE NOTE: I've only taken modification of this snippet to work with the Mollio template as far as I needed. Not all of the original features of the snippet have been tried and tested.

Best Regards, Lloyd.

G'day,

While not strictly just for the Mollio template, I've produced a version of the ListSiteMap snippet, which together with additions to the template CSS file and template images, produces a more graphical version of a site map.

Best Regards, Lloyd.

Yes, we do, but there's a workaround (which I myself still haven't implemented correctly though). Take a look around these forums and you'll find it.

Problem solved. Lloyd had a pretty extensive solution, but I found if I just implemented the min-height:0 in my CSS statement as per below it solved the problem. I have to say IE7 sux even more than previous versions. Amazing.

#nav li:hover ul,
#nav li.sfhover ul
{
left:0;
z-index:9999;
min-height:0;
}

The download links for this template, and the readme.txt doesn`t work. Could someone please fix this, or maybe point me in the right direction as to where this could be downloaded? I would really want to use this one on my site. Great template :)

Thank you!
