This is a minor interim beta release, available from the downloads section. Its a beta, so don't replace your existing snippet without testing in your environment!
There are some internal structural modifications, but the significant changes are
Fixes
- it adds the already documented MySQL3 fix
- it corrects a minor internationalisation error (save changes text)
Additional parameters
- delete=0 means only admins can delete images
- quality=low, medium or high qulaity compression (defaults to low, which uses the original EtoGal settings)
- display=none additional option of 'none' for the display parameter gives no image display, only manage button or management functions (when valid). This is only useful where normal image display is being handled by one of the other snippets available
Quality parameter:
low quality duplicates the original etogal compression for thumbnails (and the main image, if the file uploaded is too large):
- poor but fast resize
- default jpeg compression, for small file size
medium quality replaces resize with resample; this extends upload times, but gives a better result with rougly the same final file size.
high quality replaces resize with resample and uses a less aggressive jpeg compression. Thsi results in a larger file size, but gives a further increase in quality
Etogal 1.1 Beta 2 (now 3) Snippet

Beta 3 released and available from the download area. This will be the last change (unless bugs are found) until the planned EtoGalThumb, EtoGalGallery, and EtoGalList changes are complete. It has been tested on Etomite 0.6.1 Final with and without FURLs enabled (in the latter case, in a subdirectory rather than the root).
This adds further:
- it displays descriptions when used in is_target mode (contributed by doze)
- it uses friendly URLs for image links if friendly URLs are enabled
- changes class names used in output, by adding an EG_ prefix to make name conficts with templates less likely
