The EtoGalThumb 1.1 beta 1 snippet is now available from the download section.

This builds on the capabilities of the original EtoGalThumb snippet (described here ) in a number of ways:

- cooperates with EtoGal 1.1 beta 2 on the same page
- adds a parameter fullsize that renders EtoGalImage unnecessary (set fullsize=1)
- adds a number of additional replaceable strings for style definitions:
-- available throughout:
%%alias%% - the alias for the page specified by the link parameter
-- available for the image style text
%%size%% - image size in the format needed for the img tag
%%galias%% - alias for the gallery page in which the image is found
%%gtitle%% - longtitle for the gallery page
%%gdesc%% - description for the gallery page

Better documentation will eventually follow

the beta 1 snippet had a bug that would cause incorrect generation of the file path for the image files if the gal parameter either was not used, or contained two or more galleries.

Apologies for any inconvenience that has been caused, and thanks to rinty for reporting the bug!

This version contains all the features planned for EtoGalThumb version 1.1; the only further changes should be bug fixes.

It adds to beta 1 additional features I found necessary when building EtoGalGallery, but hadn't previously passed back to EtoGalThumb, and a resize parameter that rinty wanted.

• adds break specification to the styles and the parameters to control it (breakat and gallerybreak)
  
• provides the necessary replaceable strings to allow building URLs with parameters, based on either the link parameter or the gallery for the current image (%%baseurl%%, %%gurl%%, %%sep%%)
  
• adds a resize parameter (number of pixels on longest side) that adjusts the width and height in the %%size%% string

There are some examples on the EtoGalThumb pages on the EtoGal test site. (these will be tidied up somewhat later; they are mainly laid out as test pages at present.)

In beta 2, the %%sep%% string is only setup correctly if the link parameter is set in the snippet call. This will be fixed in the final release. As a temporary fix, specify the link parameter in the call as the current page.
