Everything seems very striaght forward except for the life of me, I can't figure out how to make multiple galleries appear on the same page. I understand when you upload an image, a folder is created in the galleries folder. How do I get multiple folders to appear, thus creating multiple gallery options when I use the [[EtoGal]] snippet? Sorry for the silly question but I couldn't find the answer in the forum or in the snippet. I did seem something about childgalleries but whatever I tried didn't work. Thanks for all your efforts on this!

I'm not sure what you're trying to do, but here's some background, then you can ask more questions if necessary!

If you put the EtoGal snippet on a page and load some pictures through it, you create a gallery, identified by the id of the page used. If you want to create a second gallery all you need to do (and what you have to do) is create another page, put the Etogal snippet onto that as well, and load some pictures. You now have a second gallery, identified by this page id.

If you arrange your page hierarchy so that these two pages are children of the same parent page, you can place a call to EtoGal on the parent page with the special parameter display=childgalleries. On this page, Etogal will display a single image from each of the child galleries, the images linking to the page that holds the gallery they are in (so you click on the sample image to go to the gallery)

If you look at the Galleries page on my EtoGal test site, this page includes the EtoGal snippet, called simply as [[EtoGal?display=childgalleries]] and shows an image from each of the galleries on the child pages, linking to that gallery (you can see the tree structure in the right hand menu too). Any child pages that don't have galleries associated with them (don't have images stored) are simply ignored.

Thats basically all there is to child galleries in the EtoGal snippet. If you want to do more than this, you'll need to look at EtoGalThumb and/or EtoGalGallery as well; in which case if you can tell me what you want to achieve I'll try to explain how to do it (assuming its possible with the current snippet suite!)
