Hi community,

yesterday I had some difficulties configuring the xinha editor in my native language (german) due to url-rewriting configuration. But it works now.

So today I created a patch which adds the selection of xinha's language in the configuration menu. It appears right under the xinha-skin chooser.

As .diff as attachment-extension is forbidden, you first have to get rid of the .doc-extension by renaming it to "etomite0.6.1final-xinha-language-selection-v1.diff".

You can apply the patch on linux by
# cd /my/etomite/root/
# patch -p 0 < /path/to/patch/file/etomite0.6.1final-xinha-language-selection-v1.diff

it should say something like
patching file manager/actions/dynamic/mutate_content.dynamic.action.php
patching file manager/actions/dynamic/mutate_settings.dynamic.action.php
patching file manager/includes/lang/english.inc.php
patching file manager/includes/lang/german.inc.php

Have fun.

@developers: Any chance to get from "unofficial mods" into the official code, as this is only a small patch... Please

Considering the number of different releases that members are using, as well as interim patched files, diff patches don't prove practical for this release branch... It's much easier to explain what needs to be changed... Although from a developers standpoint this might not seem like the proper method, including myself, most end users don't even have command line access nor do that have the skills to run a patch...

I will be evaluationg the proposed changes, as posted in the other forum thread, and will consider these new changes for the code base... :eto:

I have attached a compiled archive with the required patched files as well as a README file... This archive includes the following files:

mutate_content.dynamic.action.php
mutate_settings.dynamic.action.php
english.inc.php
README

The fixes don't go away... Any prior fixes are part of the development code and it is from there that all new releases are compiled... So, unless something gets changed accidentally, all cumulative fixes are always in the newest code...

Ahhh... The only way to know that is by the timestamps of the posts or the timestamps of the individual files... We definitely need a better method of providing patched files...

Hi Ralph, are the patches included in the latest download file for the whole product, or do we need to download these additionally? Thanks.

No, the downloads don't have the patches in place so they do need to be installed separately... I am currently working on getting a fully patched release ready to upload and it may be in place this weekend, but I can't guarantee it... B)

Nice work, Ingo. :D

But i wonder where you got the german.inc.php file from. Did you create it on your own? I added the patches Ralph finally supplied but there is only the english language file in it. I looked inside your diff but i don't know exactly which part of it has to be saved as german.inc.php. Could you deploy your file here or point to a download place?

Regards,
JB

I found a german.inc.php in this forum by searching. Unfortunately it seems that the file belongs to 0.6.0 and not to 0.6.1. I'm currently working on translating the missing parts. After finishing, I will upload the new one to this forum and will announce it here. So stay tuned... :betterwink:

Unfortunately I wasted a lot of hours with translating because I found a version in good quality which satisfies my needs totally. Damn! It can be found here. Scroll down to the last post and download it from there.

But translating it by myself made me find an error which is described in the post reachable by the link above.
