I was thinking about upgrading the TINYMCE to a new version. The reason is that the ADVANCED TABLE doesn't work quite well. So, is updating possible? Or perhaps I just replace the TABLE section of the javascripts of TinyMCE?

It is possible, quite easily actually. I have temporarily renamed the manager/media/tinymce folder, downloaded the newest tinymce release from moxiecode.com and uploaded the files to a newly created manager/media/tinymce folder. There are some problems fixed in this new release, but I encountered others. The iBrowser intergration is gone (and I'll leave it until its security hole is fixed, I guess), the browse button still doesn't work, there's still a problem with using anchors (they leave the ?id=nn bit out of the url when linking to an anchor on the current page) etc.
I am trying to get it all to work and if/when I succeed I will let you all know.

After last week, when someone told me to alter some settings in de MCTABS-section of TINYMCE my problem is solved. So, at the moment I'm quite happy with the current editor. Thanks for your input.
