I put this [[EtoGal?display=childgalleries]] on a page, trying to show a gallery and I get this:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare eg_entities() (previously declared in /path_to_etomite/index.php(578) : eval()'d code:89) in /path_to_etomite/index.php(578) : eval()'d code on line 99
I am login in as manager. I tried it as another user and got the same message.
[resolved] fatal error

Is the error message exactly as you have printed it, including the line numbers?
Are you using etoGal twice on the same page? Its not itended to be used that way, and eg_entities (and possibly other functions) will be declared twice (though the line number in the error message should be 89 both times in that case, unless you've created a modified version and are using that and the normal version)
If not, you have another snippet on the page using the same name for a function that EtoGal has declared (eg_entities).

Thanks. I was using EtoGal twice on the same page. I removed one and the error stopped as well. I wish there was more documentation so I could RTFM instead asking noob questions and making mistakes of inexperience.
I like Etomite so far and have a customer in mind for the software. I'll keep reading and trying things.
Thanks again
Tony H.
