Nice looking site... One item that you might want to address is the extra copyright notice at the bottom of the pages... You can suppress this extra notice in a couple of ways... The first, whcih doesn't retain the setting upon uodate, is to edit the index.php parser file and change the setting $etomite->useNotice to false... The second method would be to create a snippet named something like EtoConfig, put the code $etomite->useNotice = false; into it, save it, and place the snippet call [[EtoConfig]] somewhere towards the very top of your site template... This setting can be changed as needed, as well as additional configuration settings being added, and will remain intact after updates... :eto:

Thanks for that info. I don't mind the extra notice, but it does make the page just a bit out of alignment.
I will implement the second option in my update :eto: .

I'll be creating few more templates soon. I'll post them here. First I need to finish off for my web site, that I plan to convert it from html to Etomite. :betterwink:

Second option with snippet did not work, just to let you know. :(

Placing the snippet call, [[EtoConfig]] at the very top of your site template shouuld work... I just tested it on a virtually stock install of Etomite Content Management System 0.6.1.2 Final (PL:2) (Prelude)...
// EtoConfig
// Usage: [[EtoConfig]] placed as the top line of your site template

$etomite->useNotice = false; # default: true - display the notice

// Additional settings which can be changed

// these settings allow for fine tuning the parser recursion
// $etomite->snippetParsePasses = 5; # Original default: 3
// $etomite->nonCachedSnippetParsePasses = 5; # Original default: 2

// the next two lines are debugger flags only and should not be modified unless debugging this parser code
// $etomite->dumpSQL = false;
// $etomite->dumpSnippets = false;

I'm running the below:
Etomite Content Management System 0.6.1.2 Final (PL:2) (Prelude). I only downloaded and installed few days ago.

I placed the 'new' snippet code above (named EtoConfig). Placed the [[EtoConfig]] as the first line of the template.

Still shows. :huh:

I have not edited the index.php file.

Any clues? :unsure:

I guess the next thing I'd try would be to edit the index.php file to see if that gets rid of the extra notice...

Changing the index.php did work, but as you mention, updates need to have this change done as well. Not that it is really an issue :) ...

Thanks again... Now back to my next template B)

Glad to hear that you at least got the appearance adjusted... Without taking a hands on look into the issue I really can't come up with an accurate reason as to why the setting couldn't be changed via snippet... If you get to a point in development where you might want me to have a look just let me know... :eto:

I tried the snippet you suggest in a prelude2 installation.
This installation is brand new. So I was surprised to find one of your comments that did not work immediately, Ralph.

If anyone likes to test something: I have a test install available!

The creator of this template hasn't been online since July 2007, so I doubt you'll hear from him. I suggest you contact him via his website or pick another template.
