Hi all, etomite RC2 is absolutely fab thus far, kudos :)

Question is, can the subfolders be called the same way at top folders?

fodleralias = information (top fodlername)
folderalias = about (subfolder name)

can I still call the sub as /services as we would with top fodlers /information ???

Trying to accomplish every important page as folder in browser but for organizing reasons in backend I dont want 50 top folders hahaha.

Any info on this would be great or a way to achieve this :P

I think I posted this original topic in wrong forum, sorry

A folder is a folder, regardless of how many levels deep it is buried, and can be called by its ID just like any other folder or document... If you have a subfolder ten levels deep and its ID is 257, you can still build off the children of that folder with that folder being the top of your tree...

Using RC2 I have tried several times and caching to get the pages to display in the alias format rather the p22.html etc

Iam kinda new to this CMS but in general like you mentioned it is a folder and should appear as www.tuccaroinc.com/etomite/portfolio (sub folder).

But it wont hahahaa I have emptied my local cache several times, called the page by its ID and to no avail I cant get it to work like www.tuccaroinc.com/etomite/neegan (top folder)
It also seems to no be doing it for some top fodlers :(, I have checked all settings for each folder and they are same as the neegan alias, but wont show :(

Cannot figure what im doing wrong, Ive been at this for few days now so bare with me if it ends up something quite simple hahahaa

Thanks 8)

Is the folder you are attempting to access published...??? If not, that may be your problem...

What I find inteeeeresting is that although you aren't able to see the menu for http://www.tuccaroinc.com/etomite/neegan you can still get to the pages... Try mousing over the menu area and you can see the links in your status bar if you have that feature enabled... This raises the question as to whether this might be a CSS problem and NOT a menu code problem... :wink: Check your page source...

After playing with your site a bit more and re-reading your original message, maybe I'm just not grasping what, exactly, you are attempting to do with the whole alias thing and friendly URL's... :?

Ahhh yes

That template is not completed, the CSS is there but the image names and urls have not been determined :)

I have all the subs etc set to published, the pages im trying to access are from the main page and the content will go to mainpage or main template.
www.tuccaroinc.com/etomite the top nav in flash header are the links, mind you some in the left nav wont work either but all the folders and subs are there and published.

Gots me going crazy hahahaa

I PM'd you regarding getting a Username and Password so that I can check your Etomite site structure, if I may... If you PM or Email them to me I can see what I can do to help you with this problem...
