I instelled Xinha into my media folder.
I used the Xinha package from the Xinha site.
It woks great with the Blogger snippet.
It is not visible in the edit page mode in the manager.
I have checked and double checked the file paths.
I tried switching over to the Xinha package from the Etomite downloads section, and with that one neither the Blogger snippet or the page editor called it.
Anyone have an idea how I can further troubleshoot this? This seems so straight forward I must be missing something really simple here.
I am using Eto 0.6.1 on linux hosting. I have not altered any of the core install of Etomite or Xinha files. Thanks!

Are you installing the package in manager/media/xinha/...??? The directory name must be lowercase... Also, which Etomite 0.6.1 release are you using, 0.6.1.3...???

Yup, my directory names are right. My Etomite is: 0.6.1 Final (PL:3) (Prelude)
Also, it started working for a while, then vanished again?!?! All I was doing in the time it was working was editing pages. then one time, it was just gone. I checked to make sure all the files were still there. As far as I know there is no server strangeness going on (I use Godaddy).
This sounds like something it would be hard for someone else to help with, but if anyone has ideas I am appreciative. I have switched back to tinyMCE w/ibrowser for the time being. Maybe I should just stick with what works.

The same thing happens to me with the latest download from Etomite for version 3. I'm using I.E. 7 if that makes a difference. It happens when I switch to html mode - I can be typing then it dissappears - then I switch back to normal mode and the text is there.

Gabe, are you also using IE7, by chance...???
Karen, did this just start happening after upgrading to IE7 or do you think it is somehow related to PL:3...???
I have never heard of any WYSIWYG editor unexpectedly disappearing...

I have tested this issue in both IE7 and Firefox2, with the same results.

Maybe some paths to the Xinha plugins are not correct. This happened after a NEW installation of PL:3 with the new Xinha installation. I also installed IE7 about the same time.
I think is has something to do with selecting all the plug-ins for Xinha - the wysiwyg interface dissapears on you. If you unselect all the plug-ins for Xinha - the interface comes back. If you select just the "CSS" button - it works properly.
I have a couple of sites I can PM you with logins for you to test if you want.
