I'm considering starting a site that has both a static section using Eto and a forum site using SMF. Ideally what I would like to do is have a dropdown box on one of the Eto pages when I create a new page with a list of forum boards. When one of these forum boards is selected a new message would be posted to that board linking back to the article so that visitors could discuss the article. Probably pretty similar to how the snippet library here starts a new thread, but with the ability to pick from a list of forums or not to pick one at all.

I guess my question is where would I start to look to do this? I'm sure I could work out the queries on my own to add the posting to the SMF databases. I just don't know where to look in Eto to put the code.

Hmm, you'd need to create an SMF bridge snippet set..

Is that something external to the Etomite code like a plugin or something that would have to be added to the code?

Is there a "bridge set" to any forum software I could take a look at to get started?

There's some PHPBB snippets floating around on the forum I believe.
