Hi all,
The tutorial mentioned above has been downloaded 37 times in the last 2 weeks, but as yet I have had no feedback. Before writing the next one, I am asking for anyone who has used it to comment on...
1) Was the audience level appropriate? Too hard? Too easy?
2) Was the tutorial easy to use? Too complicated or unclear?
3) Was the terminology OK? You had to google a word from each paragraph?, or All easy to understand?
4) How was the troubleshooting section? OK? Your problem was not listed? (tell me what it was), or it worked first time, and didn't need it.
5) Anything else that would help me to improve it - or don't change a thing .

I want to do another tutorial. The next obvious step would be to get the info back out of the database to display on a page in a variety of ways, but without feedback, I don't know if I am wasting my time.

Here is the second tutorial which builds on the last one.

It is titled:

1. Writing a simple snippet to get the data from your cdcollection table (from previous tutorial)
2. Creating your own Chunk template to display the data
3. Modifying the results returned by sorting and selecting the data
4. Modifying how the results are displayed by changing your Chunk template and using Cascading Style Sheets (css)
5. Showing the results in an Etomite page
6. Troubleshooting

Chris, when I get time, I plan on going thru these tutorials. The experience will undoubtedly be interesting, as I have no prior knowledge of php or database programming

I think that these are the sort of tutorials that would be great for a user-maintained wiki..
