As the tree has changed and the wiki has not (yet), I'm wondering how one really deletes, as in does not see anymore, a document or folder in the manager. I deleted a document, and it shows as a strike-through. I see the wisdom in that for awhile - but what if I really want it GONE gone? There is no trash bin anymore. I logged out, thinking it might be cleared once you log out, but it was still there when I logged back in.

Plus, in the old version of the tree, when you saved a document, it would show where you were in the tree (ie., the tree would remain expanded) after clean up. Now it seems to collapse on me all the time, and it's kind of a pain to get back to where I was..... Picky, I know......

Try emptying your recycle bin... That will change a document from being struck out to being removed from the database... This concept eliminates the need for a recycle bin...

As for the collapsing of the document tree, I believe that is due to the changes that Alex made for execution and refresh speed purposes...

Isn't it amazing how quickly we get accustomed to something and then are somewhat adverse to any change...??? They call it human nature...

Um... no recycle bin is showing. Anywhere. Did I mess something up? I mistakenly installed RC1, then copied the RC2 manager files over, and some others...... perhaps I screwed up royally.

There should be a little Recycle Bin icon at the top of the treemenu, alongside the expand/collapse-all buttons.

Let me guess - you are using Firefox or Opera? My guess is Firefox.. Personally, in terms of cross-browser capabilities, I think RC2 was a tiny step backwards, but nothing that can't be resolved.

<grrooooaaan> Well, whaddya know? There it is, all grey and inconspicuous, sitting in the toolbar and not right in the tree...... <sigh> Wow, if that ain't a case of not seeing the forest for the trees (or "tree", in this case.....LOL) I think I must have not enough caffeine in the morning, and too much wine at night (she says as she desperately sucks back her coffee at 5:30 in the morning......)

Thanks for coming to rescue this damsel in distress. :)

PS - Using IE at this point, generally do. So I don't have any excuse except bad eyes and a staring-at-the-screen-too-long damaged brain. ;)
