There seems to be quite a number of download links that have dropped out. Does anyone know why this has happened? If it can be resolved? What we should do as forum file posters (if anything) to maintain the forum integrity?

It was a bug introduced in IPB 2.3.3 - When maintenance was performed, it incorrectly deleted some attachments - Unfortunately they are gone.
The best thing when uploading snippets is to use the Snippet Library, they are kept separate from IPB forum attachments.

Dean,
for those "old" snippets we can only contact the original contributors ?
Perhaps all contributors can be asked to review their submissions and to renew them ?
Or can you make a section where people can ask older contributions from members that have this still available ?
Being new to Etomite (which i really like) i have been scrolling through this forum and have stumbled across this issue quite some times.
Thanks,
Cas

Unfortunately, you will have to ask the original contributers if they still have the file, and if they do, ask them to submit the file to the new snippet library.

I'll repost my originals of the authentication-related snippets later today...

I was going through my blog and realized that many of the attachments are lost there also. I went to put the tutorials back up but the uploads is disabled.

5 downloads
Any chance of getting it turned back on? At last count there were over 2300+ downloads of Ian's Back-end manager guide, 500+ downloads of my how to put data into a mySQL table from a form...

I've corrected the IPB Blog upload path in the configuration; it should be working now.
