Hello,

The provider upgraded the PHP version from php4 to php5, and since then i get the following error message:

Fatal error: Cannot re-assign $this in /opt/guide/www.sva-bleijerheide.nl/HTML/cms/index.php(578) : eval()'d code on line 19

Etomite Content Management System 0.6.1 Final (Prelude)

Does anybody have some idea how I can fix this problem???

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards,

Lars Schmitz.

This sounds like some sort of a snippet logic issue... Your first step would be to track down which snippet is causing the problem and the see what code on line 19 of that snippet, or immediately above, is not PHP 5 friendly... Do all documents give this error, which would point to a snippet in your page template, or do some pages which use an alternate template work properly...??? Try disabling snippets, one at a time, by adding a space in the opening snippet tag pair, until the site works and then you will know which snippet is the culprit...

Also, doe the manager seem to be working properly or are you having problems in there too...??? I am currently trying to sort out what appears to be a PHP 5.2.5 related issue but I'm not sure if it is Etomite related or just a PHP settings issue...

Hi Ralph,

Thanks for the quick answer! It was a snippet logic issue ... we had a home made snippet to show te changed_date of a document. I replaced it with the SiteUpdate2 snippet from your website and the site is working again!!!

All documents had this problem, because the snippet was included in the main template of the site ... The manager was working without any problems.

Kind Regards,

Lars Schmitz.
