browsed the snippets...but can't seem to find any :(

I would like Etomite to automatic generate a backup (weekly) of the database with a "Select how you’d like the backup to be delivered":

Save to server : this will create a file in /assets/backup-*/ for you to retreive later

Download to your computer : this will send the backup file to your browser to be downloaded

Email : this will email the backup file to the address you specify

Wordpress has this plugin - http://www.ilfilosof...g/wp-db-backup/

but are there any for Etomite out there ?

MySQLDumper

It also has cron jobs, will save to an external database, package for FTP, email, and is very robust.

Long long ago I wrote a snippet, also named MySQLDumper, which could be run from within Etomite but it had to be run manually... The MySQLDumper package mentioned above the your best option... Download it and play with it, or at least read the features and documentation, and you will see that it should more than cover your specific needs...
