Thanks for the time you put into this by testing it on your own server. At least we know the snippet still works and it is compatible with v. 1.1 of Etomite.

I did exactly what you suggested, Ralph, as the steps you took are clearly outlined on the snippet's readme file. But nothing work, except.....

.....I did the one thing I had not tried before, namely, I changed the NAME of the snipped from "CoolMenu" to "dropmenu" (although anything else would have worked also, except apparently the name "CoolMenu").

Note that I have already changed the name of the chunk before and I even went ahead and omitted the chunk and placed the code directly into my template, and that didn't work either. Again, for some reason beyond my limited capacity to think, all I did was to change the name of the snippet and that did the trick!

Thanks for all your help and patience, and I got to tell you, I'm glad that etomite is still active and the forums have such great help. I hope this helps someone else.

My only remaining suggestion at the moment is to see whether HMTL and CSS validations help point you towards the source of your problem... And perhaps viewing the browsers Error console if you have one...

Note: I am seeing the menu now on the page your initial link points to...

Do you have more than one snippet named CoolMenu, by chance...??? That would cause problems...

Yes, the snippet is working fine. Thanks Ralph.

As I said, I just changed the name of the snippet from CoolMenu to something else (in my case, I changed it to dropmenu).

All is well and thanks again.
