Hello,

I'm new to Etomite, currently testing if it works for my new company site. I'm having difficulties with the text editor(s). What i want to do is include an image (jpg) in the text. I can use the image tag taht is present in the menu's of some of the included editors, but this asks for an URL. However, I have uploaded the images using the file manager. And I want to use these images in the text. The only way i can do it now is bring up hte file manager, click on an image, copy the url and paste into the image tag. What i'm looking for is an easier way, for example drag and drop or some kind of reference to the image section from the text editor. Xinha should have something like that but it does not work: Only a small window appeared in Firefox and when made bigger, it fails to show the file manager properly.

Any tips or advice would be welcome. Am I missing something obvious?

Thanks

Stefan

I found that when I added images, I opened two tabs in firefox: (1) for the image upload list and then (1) for the actual editing of the site. That way I could click on the image properties in one window, then paste it in the add image box in the other window. That saved me a lot of time. As far as anything else, I'm new at etomite too, so I don't know. But I hope that will at least save you some time before someone can offer a more professional way to do it. :)

Several of the editors can display uploaded images using advanced image management... I am not aware of any major problems with these features...

Hi, I use Xinha and it's working fine. The only trouble is that it is working only with images located in ti's own folder. Usualy its something like http://yourdomainnam...s/ImageManager/. I've created a separate folder for my photos "photo_album" and my link looks like "http://yourdomainname.com/manager/media/xinha/plugins/ImageManager/foto_album/image.jpg".

These parths are configurable from some files inside the xinha folder... see other topics around the forum that describe this.

If still have trouble, contact me, may be I'll help :)
