You read it here first... The upcoming release will be Etomite Prelude 1.0 and will mark the current branch as a known stable and truly final release... Not that numbers mean much to me but the mainstream places credence on numerology, hence the move to 1.0...
Okay, now that that seemingly minor announcement is out of the way, we need to make sure any and all issues which will be addressed have been addressed... This goes out to all memebers, not just programming staff... If anything hasn't been entered as an issue in the Bug Tracker it may not be addressed... Issues in the Bug Tracker either have been or will be evaluated and acted upon accordingly... If it's gonna get done, it needs to get done now... I only have a small window of opportunity to get this release completed so consider this to be the eleventh hour warning...
So, how can you be of help...??? If you have brought up issues since the last release, 0.6.1.4, please make sure that an issue has been posted... If the issue was addressed here in the forums there is a good chance that it is already in the code base, but let's not leave that to chance... The coding staff doesn't have time to try to track down every instance that may be lingering here in the forums so we are relying on you members to help in assuring that your issues are properly addressed...
How can you do this...??? If you know that you started a thread you can search through your own threads by using the My Controls and My Assistant links at the top of the page...
DO NOT PM ME...!!! USE THE BUG TRACKER...!!! Only PM me after you have researched the issue here in the forums and in the Bug Tracker... I'm asking, you, the membership, to do some of the leg work to assure that your concerns are properly addressed rather than simply asking if it has been addressed... While it may sound like a minor detail you you, as an individual member, it is a big deal to me as far as time is concerned when preparing for a release - especially when it is already six months behind schedule...
REMEMBER, this is a final bug-fix release... The wish-list for the Prelude branch is closed...
NUFF SAID...
Final Push Towards Prelude 1.0

The Bug Tracker is back up; so if you know of any outstanding bugs that aren't there, go add them quick if you want them fixed!

Hello
When the 1.0 version will be out?
Are there any database changes from the current version?
I'm running an old Etomite 0.6 Heliades and I'm planning to upgrade.
Will it be better to go directly to version 1.0 or should I upgrade to the current version?
Thanks
C

I'd say upgrade to 0.6.1.4 just now (as I can give you a hand if you get stuck); whereas when 1.0 is out, I may not have enough time to help you when that time comes.

Ditto what Dean said... I really don't recommend that anyone attempt upgrading from Heliades to v1.0 all at once... There have been a lot of DB changes between Heliades and Prelude 0.6.1.4 as it is and there will be even more with Prelude V1.0... Although there shouldn't be any problems, if there were it might be tough to give the level of support that might be required...
Not giving a release date because then I can't be held accountable if it's late... Don't rush it... It has, once again, gone from being a simple bug fix release to fixing a few things that should have worked right from the very start and also adding in some things that should have been in place form the start... I've dedicated the entire last week to nothing but Etomite coding, which doesn't generate any income, so you can be sure that I am dedicated to making sure things are done right for this release... Others have also dedicated their time as well, and I'm sure everyone will notice some major differences...
