Anybody have a way to apply styles via the Xinha stylist plugin, who's able to apply a style to a section or piece of a paragraph without changing the complete paragraph. Personally i'd handle it with placing a span in the source view, but i can't rely on a non technical user to do this. For example I want:
"Etomite is the best CMS bar none" - darren
(for this example the style i want is bold quote, regular author name...) the stylist forces this:
"Etomite is the best CMS bar none" - darren
just wondering how others handle this.
apply styles to 'pieces' of a paragraph

I use paragraph for the quote, hit enter, then use "address" formatting- or use address for the whole quote. I don't use stylist

You can use the QuickTag plugin along with the Stylist plugin to accomplish your goal... The process would be to highlight the desired text, click on the QuicTag button, select "span" from the tag dropdown and click Ok, and then select the inline style of your choice from the styles list while the text is still highlighted...
An alternate method would be to modify the format tag list dropdown to add span tag capabilities... This should only be attempted if you are extremely comfortable and competent at code hacking...
