Whoops! This post was meant to be in the fredCKeditor forum! Can someone please move it? Sorry!

When I use "insert/edit link" it parses my URL into a javascript link, like this:

<a href="java script:void(0);/*1224192917037*/">

Please see this page for a live example - scroll to the very bottom and mouse over the "Building your network" link on the start of the last paragraph.

Anyone know how I can combat this, perhaps with some adjustments to the html editor's code? To work around it in the meantime, I've had to click on "Source" and manually insert/edit my URLs...which I don't like because the main editor for this site is a non-technical person who shouldn't have to know HTML code. I have to step in each time, to do this for her.

Here's the obligatory info you will likely ask me...

Server specs:
OS: Linux 2.6.9-023stab044.4-enterprise
Apache 2.0 handler: 2.0.52 (CentOS)
Php v4.3.9
MySQL v4.1.20

Etomite version:
1.1.1 Prelude (latest)

Um...had to hesitate there for a moment and check.

Long answer:
I wasn't sure, so I went ahead and downloaded the latest release off the downloads section, removed the old directory in manager/media and installed a fresh version.

Short answer:
Yes! Just now.

Still having the problem.

Link looks OK when I type it in and hit "Insert" but as soon as I save the page and look at it I've got the java script:void(0);/*1231958578536*/ as the URL.

PS - I'm using the latest version of Firefox with Etomite

I'm also having this problem.

Still using etomite 0.6.1 (Prelude)
MySQL 4.1.22
PHP version 4
PHP version 5.2.1
and FCKeditor version 2.2

(Edited, as it turns out I lied about the PHP version.)

Have you excluded the possibility of this being a bug in the FCK editor itself? I don't use FCK so I can't help you any further...

When editing a wrong link like this, it will go good.

I've found some mentioning of this problem over at (for instance) http://dev.fckeditor.net/ticket/220. Other tickets suggest it may even be browser related.

As I'm not sure if there are changes made, due to implemantation in etomite, to the original fck download, I'll just stick to re-editing links when necessary.

Well I didn't really think of it as a bug, but I mentioned that I wondered about it being modified to fix the problem...

I myself am happy just using Xinha, but I have clients who are needy. They need two things...

1) The ability to use rich text (I know,it makes me gag but what can I say? They don't care/understand/even have the slightest idea about standards and clean CSS-ed pages)

2) The ability to add images easily

This is why I've been trying to use FCKeditor because it's the only editor I can use within Etomite that will do rich text AND integrate with the Xinha image manager :)

I actually haven't attempted to use FCKeditor in quite some time and I'm not sure I'll even get a chance to do much testing for a few days... Something about this sounds vaguely familiar for some reason...
