Hello Forum,

in the www i found the Template Namibia CSS for Joomola, here in action (http://www.namibia-forum.ch/)

it's possible to transfer this Template in a etomite Template? I spend many hours but i dont find a solution!

Is anybody there with an idea!

there's a lot going on there... what pieces exactly do you want?

the general page layout wouldn't be too bad to convert, the content for the left and right columns would really depend on what you need for your specific site.

Good Mornig (MEZ) Darren,

I would like to use with pleasure the three-columned layout, to me likes the asynchronous arrangement of the single boxes, the round corners from the boxes... simply everything :)

Maybe I have a mental mistake and can build with CSS these three boxes myself, but so far my knowledge CSS is not sufficient

a lot of CSS elements fall back on Joomola standard which I cannot copy, hence, it presumably falls to me so hard the Template to adapt

Here's the layout in an html file with images and css.

The CSS file hasn't been modified so it has many styles that aren't being used.. you can clean it up as you see fit. The columns and menu areas are labeled. You can replace the text with the snippet calls you wish to use. At the least i'd use metatagsextra, one of the menu snippets like listchildorsibs, and several snippet calls using getSidebar. Pick the background image you like or make your own...

hopefully this helps :)

but i have problems to read the zip File.

All *jpg Fils in the Folder "namibiaEto.zip\namibiaEto\images" are "unknown pack-methode"

I use winrar, 7zip and several tools from the Total Commander without success

was reading up on this template and found a psd file here: http://www.i-cons.ch...a-template.html

haven't looked at it yet but you should be able to make your own top left image using the photoshop doc...

We aren't going to do the work for you - not for free at least... That's not what we're here for... It's up to you to know the basic fundamentals that it takes to build websites... Etomite is here to help make that job easier by providing the tools to handle repetitive tasks in a more efficient manner... There are plenty of good sites on the internet to help learn HTML, CSS, PHP, and Javascript... W3Schools is a good starting place... When it comes to using Etomite, we're here to help with that aspect of the process...

well i liked this template too much to walk away from it :) i have a functional version of this working in a fresh install as my default template... there are a few shortcomings but it's nice enough.

1. the left and right columns are almost too narrow to be very useful - you have to watch that their content isn't too wide...
2. if for some reason the your left/right columns are longer than your main content the column 'shadows' break your page layout a bit (maybe those shadows should be redone as transparant .pngs in the future)
3. originally there was a 2 column table in the main content area which i've scrapped for a larger content div - this could be split again if you needed it.

i've only tested in latest versions of ff and ie, but it does validate css and xhtml.

*edit - wrong screen shot*

Hi Darren

I am a new user and am really looking forward to trying this template.

Both files (namibiav2.zip and images.zip) unzip without error, but do not contain windows visible/usable directories or files.

Many thanks for your hard work,

KeithR

With the windows extractor, it baulks and says "unknown compression method". However, Universal extractor does the job.

sorry if there are problems :( - I just used windows to zip it (and it also unzip successfully for me with windows and winzip) Thanks Cris, for providing an alternative method.

Thanks for the help Ralph & Darren,

Still unable to unzip - on the following machines - windows2000 advanced server, XP pro and Vista Ultimate - all with the latest service packs and hot fixes.

I tried universal extractor as well as IZarc, both give the same errors. Here is a log from UE:

If you haven't already done so, try downloading and extracting the tar.gz instead of the zip to see if you have better luck... Most popular decompression softwares can handle tar files...

Thanks Ralph,

Still no luck, tried all sorts of combinations and unzippers.
I am now starting from the psd file, but seems foolish redoing what is already done.

The errors appear to be with the output of the files, not with being able to read the archives. Does the user account you are using have the necessary access permissions to the area you are trying to write to?

The NamibiaV2.zip file appears to have become corrupted, or was never a good file, as I haven't been able to extract using any of several different softwares on two different OS platforms...
