Hello!
Iīm using etomite for the first time - so this cms is very new for me.
I want to change the design of an existing etomite website. (i didnīt install & configurate etomite)
So i tried to change the templates.
Now i have a problem:
the design was made with tables and i want to remove the tables and create the design with css -
but when i write a "</div>" tag in the template, etomite removes all the tags in the frontend.
(when i look at the html code in firefox - all the </div> are gone)
So there must be a php replace script or something like this.
Does anybody know where i can change this script?

thanks for your help!

What template are you referring to that uses tables...??? I wasn't aware that Etomite ships with a table based template, aside from the original AlexisPro Redux...

As i wrote - Iīm not the one who set up the website. I donīt know which template was used.
I just want to get rid off the tables - but thatīs difficult when etomite removes the closing div tags from the template ...

Etomite doesn't normally remove closing tags from templates or from other code. Most of us who use etomite aim for validating code, and many try to avoid table based layouts, so if etomite did remove closing tags (divs or others) it would cause lots of problems. There must be something about what you are doing or the template that you're using that is causing problems, so a lot more information is needed.

I guess a first step is what version of etomite are you using, and does the template header give any indication of its name, or when it was written (or by who) - or what name is used in the manager to select it.

Are you using the Manage Resources/Templates area to edit your template or are you trying to make changes to the page layout with one of the wysiwig editors? might seem like a silly question but lets state the obvious... i think some of the editors might screw with hand coding in source/html view. Ralph can probably confirm this.

How about a URL to the site in question so we can see what you're working on...
