Hi my Etomite V1.1 prelude is running verry slow.
I have got now almost 500 documents.
I also mailed my host compangy they didn't give me an aswer jet.

Is anyone known with the this problem, Is it running slower because of the ammount of documents?

Thanks,

Erik

The number of documents shouldn't make a difference. I have sites with literally 1000's of documents and it's OK. Most likely it's your host's server. Try caching documents where you can- it will speed up your site heaps.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your reply,.
I looked and they documents are Cacheable.
There is also an option to retrieve the computer names of your visitors.
What does this exactly I had it turned on but I don't know the exact advantage of this.
I understand that it will try to get the computer name but with what goal..
Is it for logging?

Best regards,

Erik

Turning off visitor logging will increase performance substantially, especially if the site has a lot of traffic... Most hosts provide better statistics than those that Etomite provides..

You may also want to check your domains error logs to make sure you aren't processing a lot of 404 errors due to missing image files...
