I installed a new Etomite.
After some troubel with the permissions of /assets with my provider the directories now have the correct rights.
But further on i get the message

Cannot open file (../assets/cache/etomiteCache.idx.php)

.
How can i create the missing files?
With some kind of reset anywhere?

With best regards
Christiane

Have you tried 'clear cache' from within the manager?

I think that if the assets and assets/cache directories have the correct rights then if etomiteCache.idx.php doesn't exist it is automatically created when you open (or maybe close?) the manager.

Others who know better may be along later ;)

This is what I'd do...

1. delete the cache folder within the assets folder.
2. recreate the cache folder within the assets folder.
3. set the permissions for the cache folder as writeable / 777
4. log in to the manager, edit the site settings, and press save.
5. clear the site cache.

The way just described by Dean was the right solution for me.
