There is a bug in user permissions.
I want to have snippets cannot be saved (off), and chunks can saved (on).
You cannot save chunks when save snippets is off.

Also changing in the database has no effects.
The bug still exist when I try to change it.

Is this with Etomite Prelude v1.x, or an older release...??? All resource permissions were separated in v1.0 and should work properly... If they don't please submit an issue in the bug tracker... I'll "try" to look into this but a tracker entry should still be entered if this is a true bug...

Okay, I see the problem... You don't get the Manage Resources option in the main menu if you don't have Snippet permissions... That's one for the Bug Tracker...

The attached file should server as a temporary fix... This is a direct replacement for the existing manager/frames/2.php file...

Thanks for the quick help, but it didn't fix the problem with this 2.php file.

What I have in rolemanagement for that user:
Edit site templates on
Edit snippets on
Edit chunks on
Save chunks on

When the user wants to save the chunk he has still no permission to do it.
With Save snippets on het gets permission to save chunks.

Roepertje, are you still having problems...??? I see that I missed over a dozen forum post replies since the IPD upgrade and I'm just now sortting through them...
