Hi,
Being relatively newbie to Etomite I'm grateful there's this forum.
I'm wondering what is the best way to have 2 toplevel navigations recurring on every page.
- 1 nav contains the actual site-items and out of the box no problems here.
- 1 nav (toolbox) white stuff like 'contact','sitemap','search', etc.
I want to have the toolbox in a separate list so it can be easily positioned somewhere near the top of the page using css.
To make this work I created a folder 'toolbox' and left it unpublished. In this folder I put the contact, sitemap, etc documents.
Using a snippet with getActiveChildren and the folder-id in my template, I generate the toolboxnav.
Is this the way to go, or am I overlooking something?
Thx.

Welcome to Etomite, subotni...
Yes, you're headed in the right direction... There are several existing snippets that have this functionality, but closing your own shouldn't be too difficult if you are proficient with PHP... Click on the Snippets link in the menu above and see if one of them suits your needs or gives you some coding ideas... If you have questions, just ask...
Good luck...
