Hi,
Simple problem... there is all the add user through the manager, options around it...
But where is the beef?? I don't see a 'login/register' option on the main page, or anything relating to login - EXCEPT on the manager page - and I don't want my users to even know that exists!
I DO want them to be able to click on a 'register' page and be able to create a new user account, get the e-mail it talks about and all that sort of stuff... but WHERE IS IT?
I'm most likely missing some snip-it or something... I used this a long time ago and never figured it out either....
I want the users to be able to login, be part of a role that allows logged in users to be able to access pages that are for registered users only. (A really basic concept, which I'm sure is in there by now, after all, it has been years since I last used etomite)
Thanks,
-Chert

Hi and welcome to Etomite
In the manager you can add/remove users that have access to the manager itself.
So to add content managers etc., this is not intended for general users, that use your site.

Right, since you haven't used Etomite for a while, things do have changed, there is and option to do that now
But the only way you can do that is install a snippet, if you want to use your users to be able to login.
take a look at this snippet, this should do the trick I think.
(login and out)
For a 'register here' link, you could look here , to get some idea's .
If you have any further question, just let me know
